Hello 2nd Hour and Welcome to your class blog!! We will use this blog for many purposes in this class. Our main purpose will be to learn about blogs and how they are used in everyday life. We will also use them for class assignments and communication within the class.
My goal is to do oneblog post a week. The blog will be posted on Monday and you have until the following Friday to complete the questions on the blog by leaving a comment. Some posts will be required to be completed during class.
Before we begin blogging there are a few ground rules to be set!
1. All posts, must use appropriate school language and completed in paragraph form. When you post, you should be using complete sentences with proper grammar and spelling. NO: U, R, UR, i, CUZ, etc.
2. When Posting a comment, you may agree or disagree with another students comment. However, you must state why you feel that way and must do it in a manner that is polite and non-judgmental. The comments need to be non-personal and refrain from sarcasm and put-downs.
3. You must comment on every article, it is an assignment.
4. You must address the topics and questions posted on the blog. You cannot simply write, “I agree.”

I play a lot of Modern Warfare 2, thanks to my new step-brother who is obsessed with his Xbox. ReplyDeleteI know that when you blog that anyone can see, comment, and follow your blog. You should be careful what you post on your blog. I've never hosted a blog before, but I created one so I could comment on my honors English class blog for homework over the summer. I don't think I would actually use or host a blog in my personal life, because I really see no need for it, at least right now.

My name is Myranda Earhart and I'm a senior this year. I have one sister; her name is Alyssa and she's a sophmore. In my free time I like playing soccer, running, and writing. I'm planning on attending MSU next year, but am undecided as to what I want to major in. Possiblities include Pysch, Bio, Pediatric Medicine, Nursing, Special Education, English Lit, and Journalism.
ReplyDelete1. Blogging is useful because it allows discussion without actually being with a group of people in person. It makes things easier to bounce ideas off of people and share your work with others.
2. I've used blogging before as a tool for both Honors 11 and AP english, but very little for personal use.
3. If I were to create/use blogs in my regular life, I would probably post my creative writing for feedback read other people's work as well.
